How will you end your Monday? How about a study on prayer? Join us at 7:00 tonight in the lovely and intimate St. Francis (eastside) chapel, where Sarah Pelicano will lead us in the first night of a six-week scripture study following the Catechism of the Catholic Church’s outline on the Five Forms of Prayer: Blessing, Petition, Intercession, Thanksgiving, and Praise. During the study, we will trace these forms through both the Old and New Testaments, exploring how God pursues us through conversation and communion with us. There will be light homework, reading assignments being made specifically for the men and the women. This first night will be an introduction, with no pre-reading required.
Please bring a Catholic Bible (some of our reading material won’t be found in Protestant Bibles). A notebook and Catechism would also be helpful but not required. Note that Prince of Peace Catholic Church has the CCC available for purchase of $5 in their pews.
Contact Sarah Pelicano at (864) 561-4460 if you have questions.
Location: St. Francis Eastside, 125 Commonwealth Drive, Greenville, 29615.
Dates: Mondays, September 8, 15, 22, and 29, and October 6 and 13.
NOTE: On 9/8 and 10/13 we will meet in the Chapel, which is most easily accessible through Entrance B from the parking lot. For the four other dates, we will meet in Classroom 201, which is upstairs – come in through Entrance C.
Please be sure to check out these event dates on our Facebook page, so you can RSVP and see who else is planning to attend.
