Plan ahead for an adventure of beauty, prayer and friendship on Sunday, June 29th for a LVG hike in DuPont State Forest, where after visiting series of waterfalls on the Little River we will end up at the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls and pray the Daytime Liturgy of the Hours, followed by prayers for this day, the Feast and Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul. There will be plenty of time for pictures, fellowship, and enjoying the forest and the falls. And, on our way back we will stop for ice cream!
We will meet starting at 1:15 in the St. Mary’s parking lot to the left of the front of the church, and depart at 1:30 taking the route listed below.
Greenville Highway / US-276 to the intersection with Cascade Lake Road in Cedar Mountain, NC. This intersection is 1.6 miles north of the NC/SC state line and is 11 miles south of downtown Brevard. The Cedar Mountain Fire Dept. is at this intersection. Turn (north) onto Cascade Lake Rd and go 2.5 miles. Turn right at the DuPont State Forest sign onto Staton Road and go 1.3 miles to the High Falls Access Area on the right.
