From 9:30am-noon at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in the cafeteria on Saturday, April 5 will be a packaging event for Stop Hunger Now. It is a fun, hand’s on mission project that is suitable for all ages. Stop Hunger Now is an international hunger relief agency that has been fulfilling its commitment to end hunger for more than 15 years. The assembly process combines rice, soy, dehydrated vegetables and a flavoring mix including 21 essential vitamins and minerals into small meal packages. These meal packages are shipped around the world to support school feeding programs and crisis relief. The food stores easily, transports quickly and has a shelf-life of two years. If our sources are correct, an estimated 10,000 meals will be prepared at St. Joseph’s Catholic School tomorrow! Join them!
