In the year 2000, Pope John Paul II established Divine Mercy Sunday (the Sunday after Easter) as an official Church feast. Whether you will celebrate at your own parish or join the pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Alabama, graces will poured out at this feast on April 27, 2014.
This pilgrimage will be taking place on Divine Mercy Sunday weekend (Friday, April 25– Sunday, April 27, 2014) and Blessed Pope John Paul II will be canonized on Divine Mercy Sunday. This pilgrimage will focus on asking for His Mercy, being merciful to others, and completely trusting in Jesus.
